Description:
Insect and Butterfly Habitat Cage Terrarium Pop-up
1. Butterfly Garden
Witness butterfly metamorphosis at home or in the classroom with the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden. Children and adults alike will enjoy this engaging, hands-on educational activity, which lets you care for live insects as they undergo metamorphosis. Over the course of approximately 3 weeks, you can look on as they transform from caterpillars to chrysalides to beautiful Painted Lady butterflies.
2.Watch them Transform in Front of Your Eyes
When the caterpillars have reached the chrysalis stage, you can place the lid from the cup in the deluxe chrysalis station and place it inside of the specially designed mesh garden. It will take about seven to ten more days for them to complete the transformation to adult butterflies.
3.Set Your Butterflies Free
Enjoy your butterflies for a few days, let them go, and watch in excitement as they continue their amazing life cycle. Release your butterflies within a week of their emergence from the chrysalides when daytime temperatures are above 55 degrees. Simply take the butterfly habitat out to your yard, unzip the cover, and let your butterflies go. Butterflies will often land on little hands and faces before flying away. Keep an eye out for your butterfly friends, as they may decide to remain in your garden for a few days.
4.An Enlightening Activity for the Whole Family
Whether in the classroom or at home, Insect Lore activities give learners of all ages a glimpse into the fascinating world of insects and can ignite a love of exploration and discovery in children. These informative, immersive projects are perfect for family time, getting kids away from screens and encouraging them to get back into nature with the magic and wonder of insect metamorphosis.
